The Talmud says, “It is not your obligation to finish the job, but neither should you desist from it.” You cannot change the world single-handedly. But you can make a difference in one life, one family, one community. And, over time, your action will resonate over generations and great distances.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh is at the heart of Jewish giving, ensuring that your commitment reaches near and far, to address critical needs and build a strong vibrant Jewish community for the future. When you participate in the 2010 Annual Community Campaign, you open your heart to help the young, comfort the old and connect the next generation to meaningful Jewish experiences. What would you give… to know lives are better because you took action?

The Jewish Federations support JDC's Ariel Job Centers in Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia, which battle rising unemployment and poverty among Jews in the Baltics. The centers, based on a pioneering model that continues to help Argentina’s Jews recover in the wake of that country’s economic crisis, provide classes and training on job hunting, interviewing, resume-building and computer skills.
