“Visit” Israel for Yom Haatzmaut

Wednesday, May 3
5 - 8:30 p.m.
Upper Mellon Park, Shadyside

Yom Haatzmaut 2006 in Pittsburgh... won’t exactly be "in Pittsburgh." Instead, the Jewish community will be "visiting Israel" for the festivities.

Activities will include: children climbing "Mt. Hermon", Israel’s tallest mountain, represented by an inflatable climbing wall, visiting Karmiel and Misgav for Israeli dancing, going to Jerusalem to shop in a mini-shuk, and stopping in Tel Aviv for Israeli food, just to name a few.

The Yom Haatzmaut celebration will also feature a performance by Rick Recht, the top-touring musician in Jewish music, playing over 150 concerts a year in the United States and abroad to audiences of all ages. To learn more about Rick, click here.

The event is free and open to the public. Yom Haatzmaut 2006 is part of the UJF’s i-connect initiative.
